Hi, I'm Emily AKA Lucy Leopard — the artist and maker behind Lucy Leopard Designs.

Every piece in my shop starts with a simple idea and ends as something I'm genuinely proud to send out into the world. I have recently gravitated towards working with low fire earthenware to bring whimsical beasts to life in figurine and sculpture form. I pour a lot of thought and love into each unique character.

The characters and collections you see here — from the OG Beasts to the Artist Collection — are inspired by lived moments, memories and a sense of nostalgia. I love creating pieces that feel personal, a little playful, and bring back a sense of lightheartedness from childhoods past.

The Artist Collection is a love letter to the creators who changed the way we see the world — Frida Kahlo, Picasso, Basquiat, and more. Each piece carries a little of their spirit, a little of mine, and a whole lot of personality.

My Iconic Characters Collection celebrates the fictional faces that kept us company — Moira Rose, Forky, Mrs. Doubtfire, the Mad Hatter, Rocko, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and more. These are the characters you never quite forgot, the ones that made everything feel a little lighter.

Every piece is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted original. When they're gone, they're gone.

My goal is simple: to spark laughter, lightheartedness, and a sense of joy through what I create. Lately, I’ve been bringing a series of whimsical “beasts” to life—each one with its own story to tell.

I began this journey during a deeply personal time—coping with the loss of my dog of 16 years, Bentley. What started as a way to process that grief grew into something much bigger. Every piece I make is created in his honor, and for my rescues—Willow, Oki, and Pooh—who continue to inspire me every day.
